At the Swiss «Marketing Trophy 2005» in Lucerne, Feldschlösschen has been awarded a bronze medal for the effective launch of its new product «Feldschlösschen 2.4». The jury called the concept of «Feldschlösschen 2.4» «a successful and sustainable development of a new market segment». 450 companies and non profit organisations participated in the competition which was arranged by the Swiss Marketing organisation. With its new «2.4», Feldschlösschen successfully launched a «real beer with half the alcohol». The recent introduced alcohol limit (0,5‰) while driving created a real demand for the new product, especially in the gastronomy. The name «Feldschlösschen 2.4» refers to the alcohol content, which is just half of a classic lager beer. The Feldschlösschen Original Lager contains 4.8% alcohol by volume.
