Just four months after the launch of its E-commerce solution, the Feldschlösschen Beverages Group has chalked up its first million Swiss francs in turnover. So far, about 500 customers have signed up for the service, which allows them to order beverages by Internet. This figure clearly exceeded the company's expectations. One out of three orders comes into the site outside normal business hours, which shows that the E-commerce solution, offering the possibility of placing orders around the clock, is clearly meeting a market demand. Since April, it has been possible for customers in the restaurant, beverage and retail trade segments who have access to the Internet to place orders online 24 hours a day, in addition to calling up statistics on their own purchasing history as well as certain other specific data. The online sales platform comprises more than 3,600 different stock-keeping units, covering beer, non-alcoholic beverages, wines and spirits, as well as glasses and promotional material, from beer mats to parasols.
