Feldschlösschen and Cardinal have again brewed their Christmas beers in good time for the cold season of year. The Christmas beers will be available in around 1000 restaurants throughout Switzerland as from the 15th November.

Amber in colour, Feldschlösschen’s Christmas beer has a well-rounded flavour with a slightly spicy palate. The Feldschlösschen Christmas beer is again available on tap, as well as in six-packs from retail outlets and liquor stores.

The Cardinal Christmas beer is somewhat darker than Feldschlösschen’s yuletide offering. It is full-bodied, with a fruity taste. Cardinal’s Christmas beer is available on tap in several hundred restaurants.

The tradition of releasing Christmas beers used to be widespread amongst many breweries in Switzerland. Four years ago, Feldschlösschen and Cardinal revived this tradition. Dating back over 100 years, the brewing recipes were used by brewers who used to create these fine beer specialities for their own Christmas celebrations, their families and friends.

Festive beers traditionally have a slightly higher alcohol content than lager and special beers. The strength of both Christmas beers is 5.5 percent by volume.
